Memoriam unfolds a language of remembrance, reflection, and echoes. Through memorization, repetition, and variation, through movement and voice, a group of people searches for a path toward something essential.

It is a reminder of the power of community—and of the rituals and traditions through which experiences are carried from one era to the next. In an uncertain present, pasts, hopes, and fears resonate with one another, while facing an uncertain, bleak future.

Memoriam was written and composed by Niels Rønsholdt for the collaborative stage work Memoriam by Tim Matiakis, Anna Berit Asp Christensen, and Niels Rønsholdt. It was performed by Scenatet and the dancer Marie Kaae.
